Strait Link is a leading provider of marine transport and landside freight logistics between Tasmania and mainland Australia, with ~45% of the Bass Strait shipping market share. It serves as a critical link in the region’s supply chain given 99% of cargos into and out of Tasmania are transported by sea. Strait Link operates from Port of Melbourne (Victoria) and Port of Burnie (Tasmania), utilising two purpose-built 700 Twenty-foot Equivalent Unit (TEU) Ro-Ro vessels sailing six days per week. Blue water operations are complemented by a hard-to-replicate network of terminals, key depots (Port of Melbourne, Burnie, Devonport, Hobart & Launceston), and landside fleet, offering a fully integrated, end-to-end blue water and landside customer solution.
