Nick Grant
Partner, Head of Asset Management

Nick Grant is a Partner of Igneo Infrastructure Partners based in London. He is the Head of Asset Management, Europe and is a member of the EDIF I, II & III Investment Committees.

Nick currently sits on the board of directors of investee companies Coriance and Scandlines.

Prior to joining the team in 2018, Nick was the CEO Severn Trent Services in the UK, Ireland and Italy. Prior to this role, Nick held senior roles at Centrica PLC.

Nick holds a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from London Business School.

Partner, Head of Transactions

Gregor Kurth is a Partner of Igneo Infrastructure Partners based in London. He is the Head of Transactions, Europe and is a member of the EDIF I, II & III Investment Committees.

Gregor currently sits on the board of directors of investee companies MVV Energie and Utilitas.

Prior to joining the team in 2010, Gregor worked for 3i and Deutsche Bank.

Gregor holds an MSc in International Finance and Accounting from City University of London and a BSc in International Economics from Maastricht University (Netherlands).

Danny Latham
Partner, Head of Australia and New Zealand

Danny Latham is a Partner in the Igneo Infrastructure Partners team. He is based in Sydney and has been with the business since 2007. Danny is primarily responsible for GDIF portfolio management and business development including fundraising and deal origination.

Danny is a member of the infrastructure investments Senior Management Team and the GDIF, EDIF I and II Investment Committees. Danny currently sits on the board of directors of coNEXA.

Prior to joining the team, Danny was director of RREEF Infrastructure based in London and Sydney, with responsibilities for portfolio management, asset acquisition and asset management and was Senior Partner and a foundation member of AMP’s infrastructure team in 1994.

Danny has a Masters of Applied Finance and a Bachelor of Economics from Macquarie University, Sydney.

Hamish Lea-Wilson
Head of Europe

Hamish Lea-Wilson is a Partner and Head of Europe for Igneo Infrastructure Partners and is based in London. He is a member of the EDIF I, II & III Investment Committees.

Hamish currently sits on the board of directors of investee companies enfinium and Finerge.

Prior to joining the team in 2008, Hamish worked for PwC.

Hamish holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Durham.

John Ma
Partner, Co-Head of North America

John is a Partner and Co-Head of Igneo Infrastructure Partners team in North America, and is a member of the GDIF Investment Committee.

John is currently a board director at Patriot Rail, Terra-Gen, and Rialto Bioenergy. Prior to joining the team in 2018, John held a senior role at the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, which operates the bi-state region’s airports, ports, bridges and tunnels, and PATH commuter rail.

Prior to that, John was a Managing Director and head of US infrastructure advisory in the Investment Banking Division of Goldman, Sachs & Co. John has a J.D. from Yale Law School and an A.B. from Harvard College.

Niall Mills
Partner, Head of Global Infrastructure

Niall Mills is the Managing Partner and the Global Head of Igneo Infrastructure Partners based in London. He is a member of the EDIF I, II & III and GDIF Investment Committees. Niall is also a member of the executive leadership team of First Sentier Investors, Igneo’s parent company.

Niall currently sits on the board of investee company Anglian Water Group.

Prior to joining the team in 2008, Niall worked in industry holding senior roles at Southern Water, Honeywell, Bechtel and United Utilities.

Niall holds a Master of Business Administration from London Business School, an Institute of Directors Diploma in Company Directorship and a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) from Sheffield Hallam University. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers.

Michael Ryder
Partner, Co- Head of North America

Michael Ryder is a Partner and Co-Head of Igneo Infrastructure Partners team in North America. He is based in New York and has been with the business since 2022. Michael is a member of the GDIF Investment Committee.

Prior to joining Igneo, Michael was a Senior Managing Director and Head of Americas at OMERS Infrastructure and was a senior member of its executive management committee. Michael also previously held senior leadership and investment committee positions at Blackstone and Morgan Stanley Private Equity.

Michael holds a Masters of Business Administration with High Distinction from Harvard Business School where he was a Baker Scholar, a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne. He serves as an Honor Role Trustee for Scholarship America.

Prior to joining the team in 2018, Sarah worked for Foresight Group LLP, Citigroup, and Barclays.

Head of Responsible Investment

Sophie Durham is a Managing Director of Igneo Infrastructure Partners based in London. She is the Head of Responsible Investment.

Prior to joining the team in 2021, she worked at listed oil and gas company Kosmos Energy, where she was responsible for climate change and global public policy, and previously social performance at several of the company’s assets in West Africa.

Prior to joining Kosmos, Sophie was a Senior Associate at Critical Resource, an advisory firm that supports mining and oil and gas companies to manage social and political risk.

Sophie holds a BA in Geography from the University of Cambridge and an MA from the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London.

Managing Director

John is a Managing Director at Igneo Infrastructure Partners and member of the Investment Committee focused on Igneo’s North American assets. John has 22 years of relevant industry experience and focuses primarily on investments in the energy transition sector. John currently sits on the boards of Igneo assets Terra-Gen and Soltage.

Before joining the team in 2020, John held roles at CCA Capital, Terra-Gen Power, General Electric, and Citigroup where John led or advised on project finance, structured equity, and M&A transactions in the power and energy sectors.

John holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Cornell University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Columbia Business School. John is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Mats Hope is a Managing Director of Igneo Infrastructure Partners team based in London.

Mats currently sits on the board of directors of investee company Nordion.

Prior to joining the team in 2012, Mats worked for UBS Investment Bank and Danske Bank.

Mats holds a Masters in Applied Economics & Finance from Copenhagen Business School, and a BSc in International Business from Copenhagen Business School/Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

Managing Director, Investor Relations

Celine Kabashima is a Managing Director, Investor Relation of Igneo Infrastructure Partners based in Sydney. She has been with the business since December 2020.

Prior to joining the team, she was at AMP Capital for eight years where she was the Senior Investment Specialist for the Infrastructure Debt strategies and a Portfolio Manager for the absolute return program.

Celine has a Masters of Science in Finance and a Bachelors of Business Administration from Villanova University, Pennsylvania (USA). She is also a CFA(Chartered Financial Analyst) and CAIA (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst) charterholder.

Gavin Kerr
Managing Director, Head of Transactions Australia and New Zealand

Gavin Kerr is a Managing Director in the Igneo Infrastructure Partners team. He is based in the Sydney office and has been with the business since 2013. Gavin is a member of the GDIF Investment Committee.

Gavin represents GDIF on the boards of portfolio assets including Waste Management New Zealand, Tuatahi First Fibre and First Gas.

Prior to joining the team, Gavin held a number of senior roles at Macquarie Group over a 17 year period. During that time he focused on both infrastructure M&A and funds management in a variety of OECD and emerging markets. Gavin also spent five years with Arthur Andersen & Co (Sydney) in the Corporate Finance and Consulting group.

Gavin is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, and has a Master of Commerce degree from the University of New South Wales, Sydney.

Maria Luisa Castro
Managing Director

Maria Luisa Castro is a Managing Director of Igneo Infrastructure Partners based in London. She is a member of the EDIF III Investment Committee.

Maria currently sits on the board of directors of investee company Parkia.

Prior to joining the team in 2020, Maria was the Head of the portfolio Highway Assets for Europe and the US at Globalvia where she also was part of the Steering Committee. Earlier in her career, Maria worked as an engineer at FCC in Spain.

Maria has an Executive MBA from IESE and a Masters degree in Civil Engineering from the Universidad Politecnica in Madrid.

Managing Director

Alastair Neill is a Managing Director in the Igneo Infrastructure Partners team, Europe.

Alastair is responsible for sourcing and executing investment opportunities for our European Funds and the active asset management of the businesses in our portfolios. Alastair currently sits on the board of directors of investee company Coriance.

Prior to joining FSI in 2017, Alastair worked at Royal Bank of Canada.

Alastair holds an MA (Hons) in Economics from University of Edinburgh.

Head of Investor Relations

Stephen O’Shea is the Head of Investor Relations and Consultant Engagement, Igneo Infrastructure Partners based in London.

Stephen currently sits on the board of directors of investee company Parkia.

Prior to joining the team in 2008, Stephen worked for ING.

Stephen holds a Master’s Degree in Applied Economics from the National University of Ireland, Galway and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from Trinity College Dublin.

Daniel Timms
Managing Director, Head of Asset Management Australia and New Zealand

Daniel Timms is a Managing Director in the Igneo Infrastructure Partners team. He is based in Sydney and has been with the business since 2016.

In his role, Daniel oversees the management of the regional utility and transport infrastructure assets within the group. Daniel brings more than 19 years of energy utility sector experience, having previously worked at a major energy utility across asset management, energy trading, business development, project development and transactions in Australia and abroad. Given his background, Daniel’s role also includes originating, evaluating and securing investment opportunities in the energy sector. He is a current director of First Gas, Gas Services NZ, Atmos Renewables and Clean Peak Energy Renewable Investments.

Daniel holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (First Class Honours) from the University of Adelaide, a Masters of Applied Finance from Kaplan and is a graduate from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Alessandro Valenti is a Managing Director in the Igneo Infrastructure Partners team, Europe.

Alessandro is responsible for overseeing thedebt financing of the businesses in our portfolios. Alessandro is involved inacquisition financing of new assets and refinancing of existing businesses across all Funds.

Prior to joining FSI in 2019, Alessandro worked at Evercore Partners, in the European Debt Advisory team.

Alessandro holds a Juris Doctor in Law and Economics from Luiss University, and a Master in Management from the ESCP Europe (Grand Ecole).

Emmanuel Vivant is a Managing Director of Igneo Infrastructure Partners based in London.

Emmanuel currently sits on the board of directors of investee companies enfinium and Evos Terminals.

Prior to joining the team in 2022, Emmanuel was the CEO of SAUR International. Prior to this role, Emmanuel held senior roles at RATP Dev Transdev Asia, Hong Kong Tramways and Veolia Transport.

Emmanuel holds a Master in Engineering from École Polytechnique (Paris) and École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées (Paris).

Senior Operations Manager

Alexey is a Senior Operations Manager in the Infrastructure Investments team. Alexey is based in Sydney and joined First Sentier Investors in 2014.

Alexey is responsible for fund management and operations of the infrastructure business in Australia, New Zealand and the US, focusing on regulatory and licence compliance, risks and controls self-assessment and monitoring and coordinating with Line 2 risk and compliance functions.

Prior to joining the team, Alexey was a member of Risk and Compliance teams advising the Australian asset management business on the risk and compliance framework, processes and monitoring.

Alexey has a Master of Economics degree from All-Russian Distance Institute of Finance and Economics, a Master of Computer Systems and Networks degree from Penza State Technical University and he also holds a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) professional qualification.

Marc Benscher
Director

Marc Benscher is a Fund Manager in the Infrastructure Investments team. He is based in Sydney and has been with the business since 2007. Marc is primarily responsible for the management of the Wholesale Infrastructure Income Fund (WIIF), including portfolio construction, client engagement and strategy. Marc is also involved in deal origination and asset management for our funds and mandates, sitting on the Boards for Integrated Waste Services.

Marc is a member of the infrastructure investments Senior Management Team, Chair of the Australian Infrastructure Pricing Review Committee and the WIIF Investment Committee.

Marc joined from the Commonwealth Bank of Australia where he spent three years performing roles in the treasury, investment due diligence and internal consulting functions of the Bank.

Marc has a Master of Applied Finance from Macquarie University and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales.

Khalil is an Associate Director in the Infrastructure Investments team. He is based in New York and has been with the team since 2019.

Khalil is responsible for transaction execution in North America and related asset management activities.

Prior to joining FSI, Khalil worked at Antarctica Capital and Ancala Partners, two mid-market infrastructure funds focusing on transportation, utilities, renewables and midstream.

Khalil holds a MEng in Industrial Engineering from INSA Lyon in France, a Master’s Degree in Finance from EM Lyon Business School, and an MBA from Columbia Business School.

Sarah is an Associate Director in the Infrastructure Investments team. She is based in New York and has been with the team since September 2022.

Sarah is responsible for transaction origination and execution in North America, and the ongoing asset management of Igneo's portfolio assets.

Prior to joining the team, Sarah spent 9 years at Bank of America in the Power, Renewables and Infrastructure investment banking team in New York, where she focused primarily on M&A transactions in the Renewables sector.

Sarah holds an MSc in Engineering from Ecole Centrale Lyon in France.

Prior to joining the team in 2017, Niall worked at EY, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2015.

Treasury Manager

Patrick is a Treasury Manager in the Igneo Infrastructure Partners team. He is based in Sydney and has been with the business since 2023.

Patrick is responsible for debt funding and FX hedging for the unlisted infrastructure funds in Australia and the US. Prior to joining the team, Patrick gained broad experience in FX trading, economics, risk management and treasury accounting at the Reserve Bank of Australia.

Patrick holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons I, Accounting and Finance) from the University of Sydney and a Graduate Diploma in Economics from Birkbeck College, University of London. He is a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Associate Director

Shanni is an Associate Director in the Infrastructure Investments team. She is based in Sydney and has been with the business since 2020. Her responsibilities include conducting research and performing financial analysis on investment opportunities, and contributing to asset and investment management.

Shanni comes from J.P. Morgan where she held the role of Investment Banking Analyst covering the energy and infrastructure sectors. Prior to her time at J.P. Morgan, Shanni worked at EAC Partners, a specialist M&A corporate advisory firm in Sydney. Shanni’s experience also includes intern roles with both Deloitte (restructuring division) and EY (assurance division).

Shanni completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Sydney and graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Finance and Financial Mathematics and Statistics.

Senior Treasury Manager

Siu Chan is a Senior Treasury Manager in the Infrastructure Investments team. She is based in Sydney and has been with the business since 2018.

Siu is responsible for debt funding and FX hedging for the unlisted infrastructure funds in Australia and the US. Siu has broad experience in capital strategy, debt origination, risk management and M&A transactions across a diverse range of industry sectors including infrastructure, listed property and student accommodation.

Prior to joining the team, Siu held senior positions in treasury roles specialised in delivery of tailored solutions and risk mitigation strategies to optimise investment performance and returns to investors.

Siu holds a Master of Commerce (Funds Management) and Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) degree, both from the University of New South Wales. She is also a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA), Australia.

Jay Chong
Director

Jay is a Director in the Infrastructure Investments team. He is based in Sydney and has been with the business since 2010.

Jay is responsible for the team’s transactions origination and due diligence process, as well as asset management functions within the team. He currently represents Igneo on the Board of Tuatahi First Fibre in New Zealand.

Prior to joining the team, Jay worked for two years in the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA). During this time, he gained experience in CBA’s strategic development and investment decision teams, where he was responsible for evaluating M&A opportunities. Jay completed a Bachelor of Commerce and Arts from the University of New South Wales, majoring in Finance and Accounting.

He is a CFA® charterholder and a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD).

Rowan Element
Director, Head of Responsible Investment Australia and New Zealand

Rowan is the Head of Responsible Investment, Australia & New Zealand for Igneo Infrastructure Partners. A Director in the team, he is based in Sydney and has been with the business since 2008. As one of the regional Heads of Responsible Investment, Rowan is responsible for setting Igneo’s responsible investment strategy and overseeing its implementation. He is also involved in all aspects of our investment process, including new acquisitions and asset management, currently working with the asset team for coNEXA and on the board of Integrated Waste Services.

Prior to joining the team, Rowan was a Senior Analyst at TCorp where he provided advisory services for a variety of State government sponsored structured finance and infrastructure projects, ranging from structured leasing to PPPs.

Rowan completed a Bachelor of Business at UTS, majoring in Finance, and has also attained a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia, as well as a Masters of Business in Finance (Corporate Finance Stream) at UTS.

Sameera Gadiyaram
Associate Director

Sameera is an Associate Director within the Igneo Infrastructure Partners team ("Igneo"). She is based in New York and has been with the team since 2022. Sameera is responsible for transaction origination, execution and related asset management activities.

Prior to joining Igneo, Sameera was a senior associate at JLC Infrastructure, where she focused on infrastructure investments, particularly within the transportation and energy sectors. During this time, Sameera worked on the John F. Kennedy Airport New Terminal One project well as other infrastructure investments.

Prior to JLC Infrastructure, Sameera worked as an investment banker at Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC ("GS"), where she focused on M&A and project finance transactions in the transportation, public-private partnerships, and industrial sectors. Prior to GS, Sameera worked within the energy investment banking group at UBS Investment Bank.

Sameera holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce from the University of Virginia.

Finance Manager

Lingga is a Finance Manager in the Igneo Infrastructure Partners team. She is based in Sydney and has been with the business since 2016.

Lingga has responsibility for the day-to-day financial operations of the accounting activities of Australian infrastructure funds. Additionally, she supports business on regulatory and licence compliance risk, controls self-assessment and monitoring and liaising with Line 2 risk and compliance functions.

Prior to joining the team, Lingga held positions in finance team at Royal Bank of Canada and Bank of New York Mellon. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accounting, Finance and Management from University of Sydney and she is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA), Australia.

Shan Hiu is an Associate Director of Igneo Infrastructure Partners based in London.

Prior to joining the team in 2019, Shan spent four years working in the Finance department at Coller Capital, a London based Private Equity firm.

Shan is a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and trained as an auditor at PwC.

Shan holds a BSc (Hons) in Economics from the University of Bath.

Lena is an Associate Director in the Infrastructure Investments team. She is based in Sydney and has been with the business since 2010.

Lena has responsibility for fund management and operations of the infrastructure business in Australia, New Zealand and the US. Lena is responsible for a number of operations and is a key client contact facilitating client on boarding.

Lena has a Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Accounting from Macquarie University, Sydney and is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA), Australia.

Moritz is responsible for sourcing and executing investment opportunities for our European Funds as well as asset management. He currently works on the management of MVV.

Prior to joining in 2020, Moritz worked at the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board in the Infrastructure and European Credit teams and at Morgan Stanley in the Transportation & Infrastructure M&A team.

Moritz holds an MPhil in Economics from the University of Cambridge and an MA in Economics and Management from the University of Oxford.

Francesca Mascagna is an Associate Director of Igneo Infrastructure Partners based in London.

Prior to joining the team in 2022, Francesca worked at J.P. Morgan. She also has prior experience at Barclays Capital and CMC Capital.

Francesca holds a Master of Science in Accounting and Corporate Finance from Università Bocconi.

Monika Mather
Associate Director

Monika is an Associate Director in the Infrastructure Investments team. She is based in Sydney and has been with the business since 1998.

Monika’s investment operations role involves coordinating the relationship between the Infrastructure Investments team and the business’ broader legal, corporate governance, regulatory compliance and risk and compliance functions. This includes a key role in working with clients and investment partners to formulate the terms of our relationship, and the management of legal, investment and fund documentation. Monika is also engaged with the asset management team to assist on specific shareholder matters.

Monika has a Bachelor of Arts and Laws degree from Macquarie University and has undertaken postgraduate study in Applied Corporations Law at the University of New South Wales.

Associate Director

Kate is an Associate Director, Infrastructure Investments at Igneo Infrastructure Partners (Igneo).

Kate is responsible for transaction origination and execution, and the ongoing asset management of Igneo's portfolio assets.

Kate currently serves as a director on the board of International Parking Group and is an Alternate Director on the boards of Brisbane Airport and Adelaide Airport.

Kate has been with Igneo since 2015.

Prior to joining the business, Kate was an equities research associate at CLSA covering the infrastructure and transport sector. Prior to that, Kate worked in corporate finance at KPMG specialising in valuations. Kate holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons I) majoring in Finance from the University of Sydney and is also a CFA charter holder.

Alec McKenzie
Associate Director

Alec is an Associate Director in the Igneo Infrastructure Partners team. He is based in New York, previously worked in the Sydney office and has been with the business since 2019.

Alec is responsible for origination, execution and asset management of Igneo's infrastructure investments. He is currently involved in the Patriot Rail asset management team. He was previously involved in Atmos Renewables, CPE Renewable Investments, Navigator Terminals and Quantem.

Prior to joining the team, Alec worked at HSBC in Sydney, spending time in the Infrastructure & Real Estate Group, Leveraged & Acquisition Finance and M&A Advisory teams.

Alec holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales where he was a Finance Co-op Program Scholar, which involved completing industry training experiences at Credit Suisse and Deutsche Bank.

Carol is an Associate Director in the Igneo Infrastructure Partners team. She is based in Sydney and has been with the business since August 2022.

In her role, Carol is responsible for analysis, due diligence and execution of investment opportunities, as well as supporting portfolio managers with ongoing asset management. Prior to joining the team, Carol was a Business Development Manager at SUEZ where she worked on business development initiatives as well as projects to optimise SUEZ's infrastructure portfolio. Prior to that, Carol worked as an Environmental Engineer at GHD.

Carol holds a Masters of Engineering Science (Water, Wastewater and Waste Engineering), as well as a Bachelor of Environmental Engineering (First Class Honours) from the University of New South Wales.

He is based in Sydney and has been with the team since 2010. René is responsible for transaction execution and asset management of portfolio assets in the Global Diversified Infrastructure Fund (GDIF) and has been involved in over 10 successful acquisitions in both Europe and Australia.

He sits on the Board of Atmos Renewables. Rene spent 5 years with the London-based infrastructure team of Igneo focused on European infrastructure investments. René holds a Bachelor of Mathematics and Finance (Honours) from the University of Wollongong.

Rachel has over 25 years banking and Finance experience in middle and back office function, areas of expertise include: Product knowledge, Settlements, Investigations, Cash Management, Audit Compliance, Management reporting, hedge accounting and Treasury and Accounting Systems.

Varun plays an ongoing asset management role on the investments and is currently a board director at Patriot Rail. Prior to his relocation to NY, Varun was involved in transaction origination, execution and asset management in Sydney.

Prior to joining the team, Varun worked in the Commonwealth Bank of Australia’s internal M&A team for four years. Varun has a double degree in Bachelor of Applied Finance with Bachelor of Accounting from Macquarie University in Sydney. He is also a charter holder with the CFA Institute and Chartered Accountants Australia.

Tom is responsible for the Infrastructure Fund’s operational management, performance and investment implementation. He specializes in fund and investment structuring.

Prior to joining the team, Tom was a Fund accountant within a fund administrator offering middle and back office administration, fund accounting services and custodial services.

Tom holds a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Finance and Accounting from the University of Notre Dame he is a Chartered Accountant and holds an AFMA accreditation.

Lucy has worked in various divisions including F&O, Cash Equities, Prime Brokerage and most recently Corporate Advisory.
