History of Igneo Infrastructure Partners

Igneo Infrastructure Partners (“Igneo”), part of First Sentier Investors Group, is one of the longest established investors in infrastructure assets investing in high-quality, mature, mid-market infrastructure companies in renewables, digital infrastructure, waste management, water utilities, transportation and logistics sectors in Europe, the UK, Australia, New Zealand and North America.

We have been an active infrastructure investor since 1994 and have consistently pursued an investment strategy which allows us to work closely with our portfolio companies and other stakeholders to create sustainable long-term value through proactive asset management focusing on innovation and responsible investment.

We have experience in making infrastructure investments across sectors and through different economic cycles on behalf of over 200 institutional investors. With a long-standing senior team and over 100 investment professionals worldwide, we have one of the largest pools of investment expertise with which to source, evaluate, invest and monitor investments. 

On 21 March 2022, the FSI Unlisted Infrastructure team began operating under a new and unified global brand, Igneo Infrastructure Partners. This was a branding exercise and there has been no change to the legal structure of the group or the legal relationship between Igneo and FSI.
