ForSea is the leading ferry operator connecting Denmark and Sweden, running a high-frequency, short-distance route between Helsingør (Denmark) and Helsingborg (Sweden). This vital maritime link spans approximately four kilometres, making it the closest point between the two countries, with a travel time of just 20 minutes. The company operates a fleet of four vessels in scheduled service, supported by one additional back-up vessel to ensure reliability.

Under our ownership, ForSea underwent a successful transformation into a fully independent company, supported by a complex carve-out, rebranding, and the appointment of a new senior management team. We’ve invested SEK 729 million in capital expenditure under our ownership, which included the complete renewal and life extension of the quay wall at Helsingør, as well as the conversion of two vessels into the world’s largest battery-powered passenger ferries at the time.

In 2023, ForSea underwent a rebranding following its acquisition by EQT, marking a new chapter in its strategic development.
